How Do I Get Started with Physical Therapy?

Getting started at Harmony Physical Therapy in Bellevue, WA is simple. Just give us a call at (425) 598-2525—our team will be happy to answer any questions and help you schedule your initial physical therapy evaluation.

You don’t need a physician’s referral or prior medical testing to begin. Your first visit will include a comprehensive one-on-one evaluation, where we’ll assess your condition and create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.

No referral is required to begin treatment at Harmony Physical Therapy in Bellevue. Thanks to direct access laws in Washington State, you can schedule your physical therapy evaluation without a doctor’s prescription. We’re also happy to communicate with your primary care provider or specialist to keep them informed of your care, if needed.

At Harmony Physical Therapy in Bellevue, WA, we’re committed to providing a welcoming, personalized experience from the moment you walk in. Whether you’re seeking care for pelvic floor concerns, vestibular issues like dizziness or balance problems, or orthopedic conditions such as joint or muscle pain, your care begins with compassion and expertise.

The first visit is an evaluation where you will get a chance to share your story, symptoms, lifestyle, and goals—without ever feeling rushed.

Your therapist will perform a thorough, head-to-toe evaluation based on your specific needs, whether you’re dealing with postpartum changes, vertigo, chronic pain, or recovering from an injury. You’ll also receive hands-on treatment during your first session, along with a personalized Action Plan outlining your path to recovery.

We understand that starting physical therapy—especially pelvic floor or vestibular care—can feel overwhelming. Our priority is to make you feel comfortable, supported, and empowered throughout your healing journey.

We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows movement and easy access to the area being treated. For vestibular or orthopedic sessions, athletic wear is typically best.

Yes—at Harmony Physical Therapy in Bellevue, WA, you’ll work with the same licensed physical therapist for every session. This continuity of care helps build trust, ensures consistent progress, and allows us to personalize your treatment based on your goals and recovery. We do not switch providers for scheduling convenience—your care remains in the hands of a therapist who knows your case and your body.

At Harmony Physical Therapy in Bellevue, WA, we offer a level of care that is truly different—rooted in clinical excellence, individualized attention, and a commitment to whole-body healing. Here’s what makes our practice stand out:

Specialized Expertise
Our clinic is led by licensed physical therapists with extensive post-graduate training in pelvic floor therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, and orthopedic care. We are not a generalist clinic—our physical therapist brings advanced clinical knowledge and a focused skill set to ensure you receive the highest quality of care.

One-on-One Sessions
Every appointment is a full 55-minute, one-on-one session with your dedicated specialist. You will never be treated by an aide, assistant, or someone unfamiliar with your case. This individualized model allows us to deeply understand your condition and adapt care in real time.

Advanced Diagnostic Tools
For patients with dizziness, vertigo, or balance disorders, we use specialized tools such as infrared vestibular goggles for in-depth, evidence-based assessment. This technology allows us to observe eye movements critical for accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment planning.

Whole-Body Approach
Rather than focusing solely on the site of pain or dysfunction, we take a comprehensive, whole-body approach to identify the root cause of your symptoms. Whether you’re experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, post-concussion symptoms, or chronic musculoskeletal issues, our goal is to not only treat the symptoms—but to “find the why” and prevent recurrence.

Exclusive, Private Clinic on the Eastside
Located in a serene and private setting on the Eastside, Harmony Physical Therapy offers a calm, supportive environment designed to help you heal with comfort and confidence. We are proud to serve patients from Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Sammamish, and surrounding King County areas.

At Harmony Physical Therapy, we are an out-of-network provider, which means we do not bill insurance companies directly. Payment is collected at the time of your appointment, giving you full control and transparency over your healthcare expenses.

Many of our patients are able to utilize their out-of-network benefits. If you wish to seek reimbursement, we’re happy to provide a detailed superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider. We recommend checking with your insurance company to understand your out-of-network physical therapy coverage.

You may also use Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) to pay for your visits. For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards, checks, and cash.

Choosing Harmony Physical Therapy means you receive personalized, one-on-one care designed to meet your unique goals in a welcoming, supportive environment.
